In our small church school, each person is known and valued. Together, we offer challenge and support so that every person can thrive. Through our inspiring, inclusive and aspirational curriculum, every child is supported to flourish academically and spiritually. We recognise and seek to understand the uniqueness of each person. We encourage everyone to develop resilience and independence so that we can live well together. 

Our vision is inspired by the life of St Martin, to whom our parish church is dedicated. St Martin lived between around AD 316 and 397. He began his career as a Roman soldier, but one day he saw a freezing beggar in the street. He cut his cloak in two, and gave half to the beggar. Afterwards he dreamt that the beggar was actually Jesus, and it changed his life. Martin became a Christian and resigned from the army. He later became a Bishop (Bishop of Tours) in France. He founded monasteries and helped to spread the word of Christianity wherever he went.

Through his interaction with the beggar, Martin realised that he could be part of something bigger. He valued the beggar and gave him the support he needed so that he could thrive. Through his decision to become a Christian, he showed independence and resilience. As a result, he flourished in his faith.

Through his actions following his conversion to Christianity, he helped shape the future of those around him, welcoming them into the worldwide community of Christians. He encouraged those around him to live well together in both Christian monastic communities and in the wider local community. In St Martin, we see three core Christian values modelled and exemplified:
